YOUTH  ENERGY
CAMP

Prepare for an ELECTRIFYING experience filled with ENLIGHTENING opportunities!!

2006 YEC
July 17 to July 21 at the Nebraska 4-H Camp near Halsey, NE. Applications (PDF) are available!

POWER TRIP

Each year, Wheat Belt PPD, a member of the Nebraska Rural Electric Association (NREA), sponsors several students to attend the Youth Energy Camp.

NREA organized the Youth Energy Camp with the intentions of educating young men and women, grades 9, 10 and 11, about rural electrification and to show them the opportunities for future careers in rural electrification. BUT, there are MANY other benefits for those attending camp. Each student that attends will have a chance to grow socially, learn new leadership skills, serve as an ambassador to NREA's Rural Electric National Youth Tour in Washington, D.C., make many new friends, and most importantly...HAVE FUN!!!

Additionally, Wheat Belt may send one student, who attends the Youth Energy Camp, to the National Youth Tour.
