Active Outages

4/17/24 - 5:00 a.m. - Goal number one has been met. Per our metering/mapping data, all occupied residential accounts have been restored! If your home is still without power, please notify our office (308) 254-5871. This would not have been possible if it wasn't for our amazing linemen and all of the mutual aid crews that answered our calls for help! HUGE thank you to Dawson PPD, McCook PPD, Midwest Electric, Southern PPD, Loup Valley PPD, LaCreek Electric, PREMA, Northwest PPD and contractor, Premier Power. We also had a lineman from the Oshkosh outpost who left a few years back call and ask to come help.........Thanks for coming to help Cole Birkel! (we miss you) Helping with line patrol and material handling, retired lineman, Dean Gipfert, also stepped up to help out. Dalton Schilz, apprentice lineman for the City of Sidney, came in over the weekend to help his dad, our own inventory coordinator, Chris, with materials.

The next step will be to focus on irrigation accounts, and have them back up and running by May 15. In the process of getting these back on, other services will be restored in that process. Contractor crews are scheduled to help with the restoration from here on out. As with the residential restoration planning, this phase will start with the main distribution lines first and work down to the individual services.

Out of the 1100+ damaged and downed power poles we have throughout our territory, we are estimating around 300-400 left to get back up. (or as I overheard one lineman say, "Dig em' and stick em')

We know the irrigators are wanting to start irrigating soon and would also like to move their pivots to plant. Please know we are working as fast as we can to get those back up and running!
