Wheat Belt Public Power District would like to inform our customers and landowners that RMA Engineering will be working in our service territory beginning Monday, January 12, 2026, performing field staking and design work for upcoming distribution line repair and replacement projects.
This work is part of the ongoing effort to repair and replace electric infrastructure damaged during the April 2024 storm. These projects are being completed under FEMA disaster recovery obligations.
The scope of the field staking includes approximately:

18.5 miles of distribution line in Morrill County

35.5 miles of distribution line in Cheyenne County
The staking work will be spread throughout both counties, and crews may be working along roadways, in fields, and within existing power line corridors to gather the information needed for final engineering and construction plans.
